It's a rainy day. The pub is empty. It's late afternoon. You can hear the raindrops falling onto the old, red bricks. The cigar crackles quietly in the ashtray and the smoke reveals a beam of light straight shining onto the old, brown piano. He plays a familiar piece of Jazz. As familiar as the voice in my head asking the same old question: "Is this your legacy?". I reply:

"Oh, yes. I made them laugh. I made them smile. I made them stop in the street. Stop in their Instagram feed. Wondering. Thinking. Remembering. I borrowed their time. I made it quality time. I didn't waste it."

I smile. I raise the whisky glass. Cheers to that!
